王纯杰 WONG SHUN KIT

Born in Shanghai, graduated from the Stage Design Department of Shanghai Theater Academy. He moved to Hong Kong in 1983 and has participated in many art exhibitions and exchange activities in Hong Kong, China and overseas.  He has received the Hong Kong Urban Council Artist Award (Painting), the Hong Kong Artist of the Year Award (Painting, Installation),  the Asian Cultural Council, and the Starr Art Foundation in New York.  He used to be the Promotional Arts Advisor of the Hong Kong Museum of Art, the Chairman of the Visual Arts Committee of the Hong Kong Arts Development Council, the Convener and Deputy Director of the Preparatory Group of the Hong Kong Pavilion of the 49th and 50th Venice Biennale, and a member of the Organizing Committee of the 10th National Art Exhibition, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. He has taught at the Hong Kong Arts Center Art Institute and the Macao Polytechnic Institute. He used to be the art director of the Art Commune, and in 03, he was the dean of the School of International Media Design of Beijing Normal University Zhuhai Branch.
